Some of the 3,000 solar panels in Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital's new energy source fill a field. Other panels in the $6 million project are positioned above an employee parking lot of the 87-bed hospital. Electricity from the panels will provide about one-third of the facility's power needs, and Sutter estimates about $2.5 million in savings over 25 years.
